Sunday Mornings

9:45 a.m. | Sunday school for all ages (select Sundays)
11:00 a.m. | Worship in the sanctuary and online
After Worship | Coffee Hour

Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church worships each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. The service is rooted in the Presbyterian tradition and shaped for the people who gather here now. It is reverent without feeling distant, and it welcomes people who are longtime members as well as those who are still finding their way into church life.

Each service includes Scripture, prayer, music, and preaching led by our pastor.

Some people have worshiped here for years, while others are new to the Eastern Shore, live here seasonally, or visit the area on weekends. All are welcome!

Sunday School

Sunday school runs from September through June. Classes meet at 9:45 a.m. on select Sundays each month, with opportunities for both children (ages 4 and up) and adults. All are welcome, regardless of theological knowledge or Sunday school experience.

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

Children are welcome in worship at Naomi Makemie. We believe they belong in the life of the congregation, not apart from it, and we are glad when they are present in the sanctuary. Activity bags for our young worship participants are available in the Narthex.

A Young Disciples’ lesson is often included in the morning service, giving children a way to participate that is created with them in mind. Nursery care is also available for infants through first grade.

AFTER WORSHIP

Coffee Hour follows worship each Sunday. It is a simple part of the morning, but an important one. People linger, share refreshments, check in with one another, and make room for new relationships to begin.

SEASONAL SERVICES

Naomi Makemie also gathers for special worship services throughout the Christian year. These services help the congregation and community mark sacred seasons with intention and inclusion. Services include: Longest Night, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter Sunday, and Taizé.
