About the event
Faith. Film. Community. Join us for a Pot Luck dinner at 5:30pm, followed by a screening of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951) at 6pm, with lively discussion to follow! In keeping with our annual trend, our October movie, in a nod to Halloween, always has a bit of a “spooky” theme. In this 1959 sci-fi classic, a being from the cosmos visits Earth with a message of salvation. An alien? A Christ figure? Or maybe a little bit of both?
